Agency Motto: "To become what we are capable of becoming is the only end in life." – Robert Louis Stevenson Agency Summary: The management of LIFE, Inc. has over 20 years of combined experience in Idaho and Oregon providing quality services and supports to the developmentally disabled population. We have assisted individuals with disabilities of all ages in a variety of settings including development disability centers, intermediate care facilities (small ICF-MRs), institutions, as well as, in private homes and in the community. LIFE, Inc. has been providing quality services to individuals with disAbilities since September 01, 1999. LIFE, Inc. is a private, for-profit Developmental DisAbilities Agency (DDA) and Residential Habilitation Agency providing a variety of quality services and supports to children and adults living with developmental disAbilities in the State of Idaho. LIFE, Inc. provides rehabilitative and habilitative services and supports consistent with the identified needs of the individual and family system through a person-centered planning process. Our services and supports are aligned with the individual's right to receive necessary supports and services in the least restrictive environment, while promoting functional skill development in a variety of normalized settings, including residential-, center-, and community-based settings. Services and supports are based on the individual's identified strengths, needs and interests and support the individual to achieve a more independent and self-reliant level of functioning while promoting adaptive behavior. LIFE, Inc. is a member of the Idaho Association of Developmental DisAbilities Agencies (IADDA). The IADDA has been in existence since June of 1989. Since that time, the IADDA has been involved with influencing the standards of practice within the industry. The IADDA has established a positive working relationship with the Department of Health and Welfare in formulation of regulations that are reasonable and allow private agencies to meet participant needs statewide. The Association has adopted a code of ethical standards that requires professional conduct on the part of its members, which LIFE, Inc. acknowledges and respects in daily practice. LIFE, Inc. is also an active member of the Idaho Residential Supported Living Association (IRSLA). IRSLA recently formalized operations in 2004 to promote quality services and supports standards across the State of Idaho to all individuals receiving Supported Living Services. LIFE, Inc. was one of four originally founding members.
